Management Policy
Toho has established the "TOHO VISION 2032 Toho Group Management Strategy" as it approaches its 100th anniversary, aiming for sustainable growth and medium-to-long-term improvement in corporate value. The core of this strategy includes promoting "investment" for growth, securing and developing "talent," and positioning the anime business as the "fourth pillar."
Toho's growth strategy is based on four key concepts. First, the company positions "planning and IP" as the source of value, with particular emphasis on "animation" as a growth driver. Additionally, Toho aims to leverage "digital" capabilities to expand beyond time, space, and language barriers, while pursuing significant growth in "overseas" markets.
The Medium-Term Management Plan 2028 prioritizes "talent," "content and IP," "digital," and "overseas" as key focus areas, driving each business strategy. Specifically, the company plans to invest approximately 70 billion yen in content planning and production across films, anime, theater, and games, while doubling the workforce at TOHO animation by 2032.
Toho has set targets of operating profit of 700 million yen or more and ROE of 9% or above. For shareholder returns, the company maintains a dividend payout ratio of 35% or higher with an annual dividend floor of 85 yen per share, while implementing flexible share buybacks. Through these measures, Toho aims to achieve sustainable growth and enhanced corporate value.
