<h3>3. Dividend Policy</h3>
The Company recognizes returning profits to shareholders as an important management priority. Regarding dividends, our basic policy is to secure internal reserves as the source of dividends while strengthening stable business revenue growth and corporate competitiveness. We aim to improve the dividend payout ratio while taking business performance trends into account, and to maintain a stable dividend level. 
The Company's basic policy is to pay dividends twice annually: an interim dividend and a year-end dividend. 
The decision-making authority for these dividend payments is the shareholders' meeting for the year-end dividend and the board of directors for the interim dividend. 
For the current fiscal year, based on the above policy, we have decided to set the year-end dividend at 10 yen per share, bringing the total annual dividend to 20 yen per share (including the interim dividend of 10 yen per share paid on December 10, 2019). 
Regarding retained earnings, we intend to make strategic investments to address anticipated changes in the business environment. These investments will include mechanization for labor savings and operational efficiency, business expansion through global expansion and new products and services, and internally, facility improvements and system development aimed at enhancing employee capabilities and motivation, as well as strengthening our corporate governance framework. 
The Company's articles of incorporation provide that "the board of directors may pay an interim dividend with September 30 of each year as the record date."
The dividend payments for the current fiscal year are as follows.
