<h3 class="smt_head2">3 [Dividend Policy]</h3>
In consideration of the public nature of banking, our basic policy is to continue stable shareholder returns while building up internal reserves to strengthen our earnings base, in order to reward shareholders over the long term. Specifically, from fiscal year 2015 onward, we target a shareholder return ratio of 40% based on the combined total of dividends and share buybacks.

For the current fiscal year, based on our basic policy of implementing continuous shareholder returns while maintaining balance with capital strengthening, we have set the year-end dividend at 45 yen per share. Regarding the interim dividend, as it is based on the standard prior to the stock consolidation (10 ordinary shares consolidated into 1 share) effective October 1, 2017, we have set it at 4.50 yen per share.
