Business Overview

Sumitomo Warehouse operates two main business segments: logistics and real estate. The logistics segment includes warehousing, port transportation, international shipping, and land transportation services. The real estate segment handles the leasing and management of office buildings and land.

In warehousing, Sumitomo Warehouse Kyushu and Wakasu handle domestic storage and distribution processing of goods. In port transportation, Izumi Yoko Unyu and Nickel and Lions manage cargo loading and unloading at ports.

In international shipping, Sumitomo Warehouse (U.S.A.) and Sumitomo Warehouse (Europe) provide integrated international multimodal transportation combining land, sea, and air transport. In land transportation, Enshu Truck and Isumi Transportation handle freight delivery using trucks and railways.

Management Policy

Sumitomo Warehouse has established a long-term vision called "Moving Forward to 2030" and is pursuing sustainable growth. Under this vision, the company aims to enhance the reliability of its logistics services and create new value by leveraging digital technology. It is also expanding its international logistics network to support the development of global supply chains.

In its Fifth Medium-Term Management Plan (fiscal years 2023-2025), the company is concentrating management resources on both logistics and real estate operations. In logistics, it will expand domestic and international facilities, promote digital transformation to improve operational efficiency, and provide high-value-added services. In real estate, it aims to expand its business scope and improve profitability by leveraging its expertise in rental operations.

Sumitomo Warehouse has set targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in response to climate change and is strengthening investment in human capital to support sustainable growth. For fiscal year 2025, the company has set performance targets of 230 billion yen in consolidated operating revenue and 18 billion yen in consolidated operating profit, with planned capital expenditures of 85 billion yen. For financial metrics, it targets a return on equity of 7% and is reducing its portfolio of strategic shareholdings.
