We target a dividend payout ratio of 33%. However, extraordinary profits or losses not derived from normal business operations may be excluded from this calculation.
Our basic policy is to pay dividends twice annually: an interim dividend and a year-end dividend. The interim dividend is set at 40% of the annual dividend as a standard.
The decision-making bodies for these dividends are the shareholders' meeting for the year-end dividend and the board of directors for the interim dividend (our articles of incorporation provide that "the board of directors may pay interim dividends to shareholders or registered pledgees recorded in the final shareholder register as of December 31 each year by board resolution").
For the current fiscal year, based on the above policy, we have decided to implement a dividend of 139.9 yen per share (including an interim dividend of 43 yen), resulting in a dividend payout ratio of 33.0%.
We intend to invest retained earnings effectively to further expand our business and realize our growth strategies.
The dividends for the current fiscal year are as follows:
