<h3>3. Dividend Policy</h3>
Our basic policy is to provide stable returns to shareholders. To the extent that business performance permits, we first secure a stable annual dividend of 10 yen per share, and then add performance-linked dividends. We target a dividend payout ratio of 20% or more and distribute dividends twice annually—as interim and year-end dividends.
However, while this basic policy remains unchanged, we have decided to pay no dividend for the interim and year-end dividends in the current fiscal year. This is because our individual financial statements show a deficit in retained earnings carried forward.
Regarding the next dividend payment, we expect the deficit in retained earnings carried forward to continue in our individual financial statements. Therefore, we will pay no dividend at that time as well.
Our Articles of Incorporation provide, by resolution of the Board of Directors, that interim dividends may be paid to shareholders or registered pledgees of shares recorded in the shareholder register as of September 30 each year.

We distribute dividends twice per year—interim and year-end—as surplus dividends. Our articles of incorporation authorize the Board of Directors to implement interim dividends.
