Business Overview

Okabe's primary business is the manufacturing and sales of construction equipment and materials, with additional operations in other business fields. The Okabe Group consists of Okabe itself, 11 subsidiaries (10 of which are consolidated), and 4 affiliated companies. The company operates under a single reporting segment: "Construction-Related Products Business."

The Construction-Related Products Business handles temporary and formwork products, civil engineering products, structural equipment products, building materials, and building materials products (overseas). OMM Corporation manufactures temporary and formwork products, while Fukuoka Form Thai Corporation handles sales in the Kyushu region. Fuji Bolt Manufacturing Corporation develops, manufactures, and sells structural equipment products, which Okabe then purchases and resells.

Internationally, OCM, Inc. sells building materials products in the United States, with OCM Manufacturing LLC handling manufacturing. In Indonesia, PT. As other operations, Kawahara Corporation manufactures and sells industrial machinery products, while Okabe develops, manufactures, and sells marine materials products.

Additionally, Okabe CO., INC. in the United States plans and sells automotive bolts and nuts. PT. Okabe Hardware Indonesia also operates a tenant rental business as a non-construction-related operation. Through these businesses, Okabe meets diverse market needs.

Management Policy

Okabe operates under the management philosophy of "contributing to society through the provision of safety and peace of mind." Based on this philosophy, the company has formulated the "okabe Corporate Vision 2040" toward 2040, and aims to grow as a global solution provider by leveraging its creativity, connectivity, and human capital as a seismic-resistant building materials manufacturer.

The medium-term management plan "OX-2026" is built on three pillars: customer-centricity, human capital management practices, and digital transformation (DX) promotion. The company prioritizes solving customer challenges, advancing new product development and new business creation, and accelerating business expansion both domestically and internationally. Additionally, the company emphasizes human capital by setting non-financial KPIs and improving governance at overseas subsidiaries.

In promoting DX, the company will strengthen value delivery to customers through the renewal of core systems and reform of business processes. A new IT Strategy Division will be established to facilitate the transfer of technology and expertise to the next generation. Through these initiatives, Okabe aims to contribute to a sustainable society and enhance corporate value.

Okabe targets growth in both domestic and international markets, with particular focus on strengthening its sales foundation in North America and Indonesia. For fiscal year 2025, the company has set targets of 72.5 billion yen in revenue, 4.7 billion yen in operating profit, and 5.2% ROE, and will pursue strategic growth investments to strengthen its earnings base and enhance shareholder returns.
