<h3 class="smt_head2">3 [Dividend Policy]</h3><p class="smt_text2" style="orphans:0;widows:0;">Our basic policy is to continue paying stable dividends with a target consolidated payout ratio of 65% or higher, taking into comprehensive consideration the strengthening of our management foundation, future business development, and internal reserves.</p><p class="smt_text2" style="orphans:0;widows:0;text-align:justify;padding-left:9pt;padding-right:0pt;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;text-indent:9pt;font-family:'ＭＳ 明朝';letter-spacing:0pt;line-height:15pt;">For the current fiscal year, based on the above policy, we have decided to pay a dividend of 114.84 yen per share. As a result, the consolidated payout ratio for the current fiscal year is 102.4%.</p><p class="smt_text2" style="orphans:0;widows:0;text-align:justify;padding-left:9pt;padding-right:0pt;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;text-indent:9pt;font-family:'ＭＳ 明朝';letter-spacing:0pt;line-height:15pt;">We intend to use retained earnings for strategic investments to further enhance cost competitiveness in response to anticipated changes in the business environment, strengthen our technology and development capabilities to meet market needs, and advance our global strategy.</p><p class="smt_text2" style="orphans:0;widows:0;text-align:justify;padding-left:9pt;padding-right:0pt;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;text-indent:9pt;font-family:'ＭＳ 明朝';letter-spacing:0pt;line-height:15pt;">Our basic policy is to pay dividends once annually as a year-end dividend. However, to return management results to shareholders in a timely manner, our articles of incorporation provide for the possibility of quarterly dividends in the future.
