<h3 class="smt_head2" style="line-height:14pt;">3 [Dividend Policy]</h3>
The Company pays dividends based on business performance and shareholder returns, while also taking into account the strengthening of its management foundation as a news and media organization and the need to build internal reserves for future business development.
The Company's basic policy is to pay dividends twice per year: an interim dividend and a year-end dividend. The interim dividend is decided by the Board of Directors, and the year-end dividend is decided by the shareholders' meeting.
For the current fiscal year, the year-end dividend per share is set at 65 yen, which combined with the interim dividend of 25 yen per share totals 90 yen per share.
The Company's articles of incorporation provide for the payment of interim dividends.
