HAL®, CYBERDYNE's core technology, operates using weak bioelectric signals that reflect the wearer's motor intention from the nervous system. This allows HAL® to be driven based on the wearer's movement intention, supporting body movement. HAL® is characterized by hybrid control combining cybernetic voluntary control, autonomous control, and impedance control.

CYBERDYNE deploys cybernics therapy using HAL® in the medical field, promoting functional improvement of the brain, nervous system, and muscles. In the care and independence support field, CYBERDYNE offers various types of HAL® designed to improve independence and prevent frailty in elderly people. In the work support field, CYBERDYNE deploys HAL® and AI-equipped robots to prevent lower back pain risk.

Additionally, CYBERDYNE provides the photoacoustic imaging device "Acoustic X" as a research instrument for prevention and early detection. This device achieves non-invasive, high-resolution 3D imaging and is advancing toward medical device approval. CYBERDYNE's business is operated as a single segment in robot-related business.

Revenue from HAL® rental and maintenance contracts is expected to provide a continuous revenue stream.

CYBERDYNE is advancing clinical trials to establish cybernics therapy as a global standard treatment. In Japan, HAL® medical lower-limb type has been approved for neurological and muscular diseases, with ongoing expansion of indications. Indication expansions are also progressing in Germany and the United States.

In addition to indication expansions in Western markets and APAC countries, the company is promoting overseas deployment of products such as Cyvis®.
