<p>Our basic policy is to return 40% of profits to shareholders. We target a dividend payout ratio of 30% or higher, while using the remaining funds for share buybacks—calculated as 40% of consolidated net income minus total dividends. We pay dividends once per year at the fiscal year-end. We reinvest retained earnings in research and development for growth areas, revitalization of existing businesses, and investments to expand our business domains.</p>
