Management Policy
Yamaha Motor has established a long-term vision through 2030 titled "ART for Human Possibilities—People Can Be Happier." Under this vision, the new medium-term management plan starting in 2025 aims to strengthen the competitiveness of core businesses, acquire new technologies, and build a society where human fulfillment and environmental sustainability coexist.
The new medium-term management plan divides the business portfolio into three categories: core businesses, strategic businesses, and new businesses. Core businesses include motorcycles and marine products, where the company will reinforce competitive advantages and pursue both growth and profitability. In particular, the motorcycle business is strengthening user services through digital technology.
In the strategic business segment, the company is focusing on robotics, SPV (small powered vehicles), and OLV (off-road leisure vehicles) businesses. The robotics business aims to evolve one-stop smart solutions while balancing growth and profitability. The SPV business pursues growth through electric-assist bicycles.
In the new business segment, the company is focusing on three areas—mobility services, low-speed autonomous driving, and agriculture—while assessing expansion possibilities. Through these initiatives, Yamaha Motor aims to capture new market opportunities and achieve sustainable growth.
Financial targets include ROE of 14%, ROIC of 8%, and ROA of 9%. The shareholder return policy is based on stable and continuous dividend payments. The environmental plan is built on three pillars—climate change, resource circulation, and biodiversity—to realize a sustainable society.
