The Company regards returning profits to shareholders as one of its most important management priorities. Our basic policy is to pay stable dividends after comprehensively considering the operating environment, business performance, financial condition, and other factors surrounding the Company.
Regarding the use of retained earnings, we intend to utilize them effectively to prepare for future capital needs related to business restructuring, establish a solid management foundation to address the challenging market environment, and strengthen our competitive position.
The Company's basic policy is to pay dividends twice per year: an interim dividend and a year-end dividend.
The decision-making bodies for these dividends are the shareholders' meeting for the year-end dividend and the board of directors for the interim dividend.
The year-end dividend for the current period was set at 25 yen per share. Combined with the interim dividend of 25 yen, the total annual dividend per share was 50 yen.
The Company's articles of incorporation provide that the board of directors may declare an interim dividend with a record date of September 30 each year.
The dividends with record dates in the current fiscal year are as follows:
