<p>We prioritize returning profits to shareholders and maintain an active dividend policy as our basic approach. Under our 12th Medium-Term Management Plan, we maintain a minimum annual dividend of 30 yen per share regardless of profit levels. We pay dividends twice yearly—interim and year-end dividends. Retained earnings are allocated to funding needs such as research and development expenses and preparations for our headquarters building replacement.</p>
