Our group positions the return of profits to shareholders as one of the most important management policies. We will continue to implement strategic investments in growth areas utilizing M&A and other means to achieve sustained improvement in corporate value, while also improving our financial position through strengthened retained earnings. We will implement a profit distribution policy that balances shareholder returns with retained earnings.

We target a consolidated dividend payout ratio of approximately 30%.
For the year-end dividend from retained earnings in the current period, we have set the dividend at 19 yen per share, taking into account the continuation of stable dividends and current period performance. The interim dividend was 19 yen per share in regular dividends, making the total annual dividend for the current period 38 yen per share. Retained earnings will be used in accordance with our basic policy to strengthen our financial position and reinforce the business foundation of our entire group.
Our basic policy is to pay dividends twice annually—interim and year-end dividends. The interim dividend is decided by the Board of Directors, and the year-end dividend is decided by the General Shareholders' Meeting. Our articles of incorporation provide for the ability to pay interim dividends.
