<h3 class="smt_head2">3 [Dividend Policy]</h3>
Our bank's basic dividend policy is to maintain stable dividend payments from a shareholder-focused perspective while strengthening our financial position and improving our capital adequacy ratio through building up retained earnings. 
Our bank distributes surplus earnings twice annually as a basic policy: an interim dividend and a year-end dividend. The interim dividend is decided by the Board of Directors, and the year-end dividend is decided by the General Meeting of Shareholders.
For the current fiscal year's surplus earnings distribution, in accordance with our basic policy of continuous stable dividends, we have set the interim dividend at 30.00 yen per share and the year-end dividend at 30.00 yen per share, for a total annual dividend of 60.00 yen per share. Retained earnings will be effectively utilized to enhance customer services and strengthen our financial position.
Our Articles of Incorporation provide that interim dividends may be paid.
Additionally, dividend distributions are subject to restrictions under Article 18 of the Banking Act. When distributing surplus earnings, notwithstanding the provisions of Article 445, Paragraph 4 of the Companies Act (regarding the amount of capital and reserves), we record as capital reserve or earned surplus reserve an amount equal to one-fifth of the decrease in surplus earnings resulting from such distribution.
