Business Overview
Riks operates two main business segments: a trading business and a proprietary product business. The trading business sells fluid pressure generation equipment based on high-pressure hydraulic technology, applied equipment, system products, accessories, components, and related technology products. Specific products include plunger pumps, high-pressure water cleaning equipment, oil seals, piston valves, and measurement devices.
The proprietary product business manufactures fluid equipment such as rotary joints and high-pressure precision cleaning equipment, utilizing tribology technology and high-pressure precision cleaning technology. Rotary joints are used in machine tool, steel, and electronics/semiconductor industries to supply fluid from fixed piping to rotating machinery.
The high-pressure precision cleaning equipment uses high-pressure water jets to cut and clean target materials, offering products such as Spin Jet and Micro Ice Jet. These technologies contribute to solving customer challenges and are utilized across diverse industries.
Other business operations include bearing regeneration and manufacturing, insulation plate manufacturing for tire production equipment, corrosion-resistant pump and blower manufacturing, and control panel fabrication for industrial machinery. These operations support Riks' diverse product lineup.
Management Policy
Rix is formulating a growth strategy as it accelerates the relocation of production overseas in anticipation of a shrinking domestic manufacturing market. Under its medium-term management plan "GP2026," which begins in fiscal 2024, Rix redefines its role as a manufacturer-trader to a "co-creation" model while continuing to supply original products. The company also aims to expand its business domains and contribute to solving manufacturing challenges worldwide.
Rix's vision is to provide solutions for addressing industry challenges through advanced integration of sales, technology, manufacturing, and service capabilities, as well as co-creation with partners. Specific targets for fiscal 2026 include consolidated net sales of 60 billion yen, consolidated operating profit of 4.5 billion yen, and consolidated ordinary profit of 4.7 billion yen.
The growth strategy is built on four pillars: expansion of business domains, improvement of profitability, strengthening of human resources and organization, and enhancement of stakeholder relations. The company is particularly focused on raising the ratio of original products to 40% or higher and developing talent capable of practicing "RIXing Action."
Rix is also deploying industry-specific strategies tailored to customer needs. In the steel industry, the company is promoting deeper engagement in carbon-neutral-related fields and expanding overseas operations. In the automotive industry, it is advancing new product development to address the shift toward electric vehicles. Through these initiatives, Rix aims to achieve sustainable growth.
