Doshisha is primarily engaged in the wholesale business of lifestyle-related products and operates through 17 subsidiaries. The business is divided into three segments: "Development-Based Business Model," "Wholesale-Based Business Model," and "Other."
The "Development-Based Business Model" handles sales of standardized products including A&V-related items, home appliances and household goods, storage solutions, apparel, and food and beverages. This segment is managed by Doshisha and Karinpia Corporation.
The "Wholesale-Based Business Model" handles sales of watches, bags and bag-related products, and assorted gifts. This segment is managed by Doshisha.
The "Other" segment includes real estate, licensing, logistics, care and welfare services, trading, and PS (Professional Services) operations. Logistics operations are handled by Doshisha and Doshisha Logistics Corporation; care and welfare services by Lifenet Corporation; trading by Leigang Holdings Limited; and PS operations by Orion Corporation.
PS operations provide solution design for product development, circuit board design, mechanical design, and software development. Through these diverse business operations, Doshisha meets a wide range of customer needs.
Management Policy
Doshisha is committed to enhancing corporate and social value based on its founding spirit of "a company with romance that won't collapse." The company promotes business practices that contribute to society, guided by its management philosophy of "Yonpo-yoshi" (mutual benefit for all stakeholders).
The company's growth strategy relies on a dual business model combining a "development-based business model" and a "wholesale-based business model." This approach enables the company to respond quickly and consistently to consumer needs, even in rapidly changing market conditions.
Under its medium-term management plan through March 2026, the company targets consolidated ordinary profit of 10 billion yen. The plan projects net sales of 120,000 million yen, operating profit of 9,800 million yen, and ordinary profit of 10,000 million yen, aiming for sustainable growth.
Despite an uncertain business environment, Doshisha is strengthening its "field capabilities" and "competitive strengths." The company is committed to contributing to a sustainable society across all three ESG dimensions while pursuing long-term growth.
