本店を東京都に置き耐火煉瓦、その他耐火物の生産を目的として設立しました。牛込製粉工場及び明知耐火煉瓦株式会社多治見工場の設備を買収して、当社多治見工場を設置、耐火煉瓦の製造を開始しました。

明知耐火煉瓦株式会社（現社名　明智セラミックス株式会社。現・連結子会社）に対して、資本参加を行い系列会社としました。

住吉耐火煉瓦株式会社（現社名　株式会社ユーセラミック。現・連結子会社）を設立しました。

国光窯業株式会社に対して資本参加を行い、系列会社としました。

株式を東京、名古屋両証券取引所に上場しました。

東窯運送株式会社（現社名　株式会社トーヨー流通サービス。現・連結子会社）を設立し、系列会社としました。

久田窯業株式会社（現社名　株式会社水野セラミックス。現・連結子会社）に対して、資本参加を行い、系列会社としました。

多治見工場（現・大畑工場）工作部門を分離、豊栄興業株式会社（現・連結子会社）を設立しました。

日ノ丸窯業株式会社（現・連結子会社）を系列会社としました。

株式会社中日ホーム（現・連結子会社）を設立し、系列会社としました。

土岐耐火工業株式会社を設立し、系列会社としました。

米国スワンクリフラクトリーズCo.の資産の一部を買収し、ＴＹＫスワンクリフラクトリーズCo.（現社名　ＴＹＫアメリカINC. 現・連結子会社）を設立しました。

ファインセラミックス実験工場を新設し、ファインセラミックスの製造販売を開始しました。

台湾東京窯業股份有限公司（現・連結子会社）を設立しました。

日常に於ける社名の表示・呼称を「株式会社　ＴＹＫ」としました。

ＴＹＫ　Ltd.（現・連結子会社）を英国に設立しました。

ＴＹＫヨーロッパGmbH（現・連結子会社）をドイツに設立しました。

住吉耐火煉瓦株式会社と土岐耐火工業株式会社は合併し、土岐耐火工業株式会社は解散しました。

住吉耐火煉瓦株式会社と国光窯業株式会社は合併し、国光窯業株式会社は解散しました。また、住吉耐火煉瓦株式会社は社名を株式会社ユーセラミックと変更しました。

青島東窯陶瓷有限公司（現・連結子会社）を設立しました。

名古屋証券取引所の上場を廃止いたしました。

東京証券取引所の市場区分の見直しにより、東京証券取引所の市場第一部からスタンダード市場に移行いたしました。

ＴＹＫ Ceramics India Private Limitedをインドに設立しました。
