<h3>3. Dividend Policy</h3>
The Company recognizes returning profits to shareholders as an important policy. Our approach to dividends is to decide based on consideration of building sufficient internal reserves to support investment in research and development. For the time being, we plan to pay no dividends in order to actively pursue pharmaceutical research and development, with the intention of allocating all retained earnings from profits to research and development.
When surplus dividends are paid, we plan to pay dividends once per year at the fiscal year-end. The decision-making body for dividend payments is the shareholders' meeting.
Additionally, our articles of incorporation provide that the Board of Directors may resolve to pay interim dividends with a record date of June 30 each year. However, for the 22nd fiscal year, which is a transitional period following the fiscal year-end change approved at the 21st Annual Shareholders' Meeting, the record date for interim dividends is set as August 31.
For the current fiscal year, no dividends have been paid in order to secure research and development funding through internal reserves.

We consider returning profits to shareholders as an important policy. For the time being, we plan to pay no dividend in order to actively pursue pharmaceutical research and development, allocating all internal reserves generated from profits to research and development. When we do pay a dividend from surplus earnings, we plan to do so once per year at the fiscal year-end.
