<h3>3. Dividend Policy</h3>
Our basic policy on dividend distribution is to make decisions by comprehensively considering earnings performance, internal reserve levels, and other factors. At the same time, we believe it is important to maintain stable dividends.
However, in the current fiscal year, we recorded a net loss attributable to parent company shareholders due to rising costs in raw materials, energy, and labor, as well as increased procurement costs from yen depreciation. Additionally, we recorded impairment losses on fixed assets related to our textile business and restructuring costs associated with workforce reductions at our Chinese subsidiary as business restructuring expenses. In light of these circumstances, we have determined that strengthening our business foundation should be our priority. After comprehensive consideration, we regret to inform you that we will pay no dividend for the fiscal year ending March 2025.
Our basic policy is to pay dividends twice annually: an interim dividend and a year-end dividend. The year-end dividend is decided by the shareholders' meeting, while the interim dividend is decided by the board of directors.
Our articles of incorporation provide that an interim dividend may be paid to shareholders listed in the final shareholder register as of September 30 each year, by resolution of the board of directors.
Retained earnings will be allocated to investment funds based on our medium- to long-term business plans.
