Business Overview
Hotland operates two main business segments: food service and resort operations. In food service, the company operates diverse brands including "Tsukiji Gindaco" (takoyaki), "Gindaco Highball Izakaya" (takoyaki and bar), "Gin no An" (taiyaki), and "Cold Stone Creamery" (ice cream). These brands operate domestically and internationally through company-owned stores, commissioned operations, and franchises.
"Tsukiji Gindaco" is a takoyaki-focused brand featuring open-kitchen demonstration sales. The company operates numerous small-format stores and has vertically integrated operations including proprietary equipment manufacturing, raw material procurement, processing, and logistics. In addition to takoyaki, the company operates single-item casual dining concepts such as "Gin no An" and "Cold Stone Creamery."
In the izakaya segment, the company operates "Gindaco Highball Izakaya," "Oden-ya Takeshi," and "Nihon Saisei Izakaya." "Gindaco Highball Izakaya" has gained popularity through its highball and takoyaki combination, with expansion in office districts and entertainment areas. "Oden-ya Takeshi" is accelerating expansion in the greater Tokyo area to serve diverse customer segments.
In the main dish segment, the company operates "Tokyo Aburagumi Honten" (oil-based ramen) and "Yarō Meshi." "Tokyo Aburagumi Honten" offers broth-free oil ramen suited for takeout and delivery. The company plans to expand nationwide and increase store openings.
The resort business operates "Ekino Tennen Onsen & Sauna no Mori Mizunuma Village." This facility features natural hot springs, Finnish-style sauna, and glamping accommodations available for day-use and overnight stays. Located in Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture, the facility also provides food and beverage services utilizing local ingredients.
Management Policy
Hotland has adopted a transition to a holding company structure as its growth strategy. In April 2025, the company will reorganize as "Hotland Holdings Inc." to enhance management agility. Under this new structure, Hotland will pursue efficient operations of "Tsukiji Gindaco" divided between eastern and western Japan, while actively expanding high-margin brands within the group.
The company prioritizes business expansion both domestically and internationally. Domestically, it will pursue dominant market positioning of izakaya-style concepts such as "Gindaco Highball Tavern" and "Oden-ya Takeshi" in the Tokyo metropolitan area, while also promoting franchise openings in regional markets. Internationally, Hotland will accelerate franchise expansion in Asia and Europe, with particular emphasis on strengthening "Tsukiji Gindaco" and Japanese cuisine concepts in the U.S. market.
Additionally, Hotland is pursuing business diversification through new concept development and M&A. In the staple food category, it will expand small-format stores such as "Tokyo Aburagumi Honten" and "Yarō Meshi" nationwide. In the resort business, it will build new growth models using "Sauna no Mori Mizunuma Village" as a success case. Through these initiatives, Hotland aims to enhance corporate value and improve capital efficiency.
